Λίγα Λόγια για το σχολείο μας

    Το 2o Γενικό Λύκειο Πυλαίας κτίστηκε στα Κωνσταντινοπολίτικα και λειτούργησε το 1997, προκειμένου να καλύψει τις ανάγκες του συνοικισμού Κωνσταντινοπολιτών. Η λειτουργία του είχε ως αποτέλεσμα την αποσυμφόρηση των Λυκείων της ευρύτερης περιοχής (Μαλακοπή) και την σταδιακή μετάβαση τους σε μόνιμη πρωινή βάρδια. Στο σχολείο φοιτούν περίπου 240 μαθητές και υπηρετούν 25 εκπαιδευτικοί όλων των ειδικοτήτων. Διαθέτει σύγχρονες εγκαταστάσεις (βιβλιοθήκη, αίθουσα εκδηλώσεων, Εργαστήριο Πληροφορικής, Σύγχρονο Εργαστήριο Φυσικών Επιστημών και κλειστό Γυμναστήριο). Στο ίδιο κτίριο στεγάζεται και το 2ο Γυμνάσιο Πυλαίας.

   The 2nd Lyceum of Pylaia in Thessaloniki is situated in Constantinopolitica, a region of the municipality of Pylaia-Chortiatis which is one of 14 municipalities of Thessaloniki with a population of 70.000 inhabitants of a quite high standard of living. The Lyceum was founded in 1997 with approximately 241 students of the age 16-18 and 25 teachers of all the specialties. Its premises are modern including library, activities room, computers room, Chemistry room and indoors gym. Thessaloniki in more than 23 centuries of uninter­rupted history has been a major centre of population, a busy economic, cultural and political centre in the region of the Balkans and south-eastern Europe, an important meeting point for different cultures and peoples. For centuries, Thessaloniki was home to many different ethnic groups such as Jews, Ottoman Turks, Armenians and others. Alongside, the native Greek population, they all left their characteristic mark on the city and helped shape its cosmopolitan character.
